Teens at the Pittston Memorial Library
Welcome to Teens at the Pittston Memorial Library! Our teen programming strives to create a nerdtastic and fun environment. We do that by going right to the best source–our teens! Here you will find a thriving Teen Advisory Group (TAG) that meets monthly to help choose books for our young adult section and develop awesome programs just for teens. Through TAG we have recently formed a new club at the library called the Fangirl’s Fanclub or the FFC. The FFC is a club for teen fangirls and fanboys that meets every third Thursday of the month during the school year to celebrate a fandom with an activity. In the past we have celebrated Nerdfighters, Marvel, Dr. Who, Harry Potter and more! Not only that, but we have an awesome teen book club called Teen Reading Lounge (TRL) that meets a few Saturdays a month to discuss a different YA book and to do an activity. If you love to read, and have a passion for nerd culture, we invite you to check us out—you won’t be disappointed.
Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in our Teen Advisory Group (TAG), where teens work together to bring their ideas for programs, books, and movies to the library for other teens. Teens that participate in TAG are considered library volunteers and can use their time as service hours. Want to join? See the desk for an application. TAG monthly meets during the school year every second Thursday at 5:30pm.
T.A.G. members are middle and senior high school students who volunteer their time to help choose materials for the library such as books and movies, do book reviews, help plan and promote other YA programs, and help make the YA section of the library a fun place to be.

Teen Reading Lounge
Teen Reading Lounge (TRL) is an interactive book club for teens in Grades 7-12. Each month our group selects a new read and engages a discussion and fun crafts or activities based on what they read. The best part is that teens get to keep their own copy of the book! Registration for TRL is mandatory.
